"Didn't grow with us the way we hoped"
We started using NetSuite because we really thought it would scale with our team, but once our order volume and number of users picked up, it started getting painful. Pages slowed down, reports took ages to run, and even basic changes seemed to turn into consultant hours instead of something we could handle ourselves.
Maybe it works better if you’ve got a big budget and a dedicated admin team, but for us it’s become too heavy and frustrating for what we’re paying. We’re at the point where if things don’t improve soon, we’ll probably start looking at other options.
"Getting integrations set up was way more painful than expected"
We switched to NetSuite thinking the integrations would be fairly straightforward, but that really wasn’t our experience. It looked good on paper, but once we started connecting everything, it got messy quickly.
Linking it with the tools we already use took a lot longer than we planned for. Even small updates seemed to turn into a consultant call or some custom scripting, and the error messages didn’t make it any easier to figure out what was going wrong. A lot of that felt avoidable, which made it even more frustrating.
I can see how it might work better for a larger company with a dedicated tech team, but for us it felt clunky and expensive. We expected the process to be smoother and a lot less hands-on.
"Costs added up way more than expected"
I went in thinking the price was manageable, but by the time all the fees and setup costs were added, it was a lot higher than what we planned for. It kind of felt like the real cost wasn’t exactly made obvious upfront, and at that point we were already too far in to back out easily. Definitely ended up feeling overpriced for what we got.

"Partner support felt frustrating and dismissive"
I expected better. Every time I reached out, the vendor partners just seemed to pass the blame around instead of actually helping. The fixes dragged on forever, and a few of the responses made me feel like I was being talked down to for even asking basic questions. It ended up being a frustrating experience overall.
"Reporting is way more of a hassle than I expected"
I’ve been using NetSuite for reporting and analytics, it feels a lot clunkier than it should. Even basic reports seem to take too many clicks, saved searches still confuse me more than I’d like to admit, and the dashboards usually need extra setup before they show anything useful. Then suddenly it hits you: why am I spending this much time fighting the reporting tool? For what it costs, I really expected the whole reporting experience to be smoother and more user-friendly.

"Finance reports have been way too unreliable"
I’ve been frustrated with this. Our bank reconciliations kept breaking, and the finance reports were confusing enough that we couldn’t fully trust what we were looking at. When we reached out to support, it didn’t feel like they actually took ownership or helped us get to a clear fix. For something this important, I’d expect more accountability and a real effort to resolve the issue properly

"Support was a headache"
I had a frustrating experience. Support was no help at all, and I felt like I was just stuck waiting forever with no real answers. To make it worse, the terms seemed to change along the way, which made everything even more confusing and annoying.

"Good most of the time, I guess"
It usually works fine for what I need, but every now and then it gets randomly slow and I’m not really sure why. Some days it’s okay, other days it just feels a bit shaky

"Setup took way longer than we expected"
We signed up thinking the setup would be straightforward, but the whole implementation left me drained. There were so many calls, timelines kept shifting, and it got frustrating having to explain the same things to different people over and over.
The system does seem like it can do a lot, but getting to that point was a headache and took way more time than we planned for. Support was decent on some days and painfully slow on others. Maybe it goes smoother with a really experienced partner, but our rollout just felt like a long, frustrating slog.

"Customization feels more rigid than it should"
I tried to get NetSuite to line up with the way our team actually works, it was more frustrating than I expected. Even changes that seemed basic ended up taking a long time or required help from someone more technical. My take is that the system is powerful, but it doesn’t always feel flexible in a practical day-to-day sense. Instead of adapting to our workflow, it often felt like we had to adjust our process to fit the system.

"Felt like just another ticket"
I tried using the training docs, but they were confusing and felt outdated. When I reached out for help, the whole experience made me feel more like a ticket number than an actual person trying to learn the system

"CRM side feels clunky"
I really wanted to like the CRM side of NetSuite, and at first I thought maybe we just needed time to get used to it. But it became frustrating. Screens felt slow, and even simple things like updating a contact took more clicks than it should. The reports were another headache — sometimes I’d feel like I was close to getting what I needed, then end up confused all over again. For our sales team, it didn’t really make the day easier. If anything, it added more little annoyances to the workflow.

"My orders turned into a bit of a guessing game"
I started using it hoping order management would be one less thing to worry about, but it kind of became the opposite. A few orders didn’t sync until much later, and by the time I noticed, I was already trying to figure out what had updated and what hadn’t. I reached out to support thinking they’d help clear it up, but it felt like they were just as unsure as I was. Overall, it’s been a messy experience and not really something I’d want to deal with again.

"A bit hard to figure out"
I tried using it for a while, but the menus were confusing. It took me longer than I expected to find a options I needed, and I kept feeling like the layout could be a lot clearer...

"Inventory stuff was honestly a pain"
The stock counts kept syncing all wrong, and trying to get it sorted was just frustrating. Support didn’t really help much either, so it ended up being way more of a headache than it should’ve been
"So, it’s slow way too often"
So, NetSuite is fine when it actually loads, but the slow performance gets really frustrating. Pages hang, reports can take forever, and sometimes it just freezes right in the middle of what I’m doing. For what it costs, I expected it to be a lot more stable.
